So there are both competition and One-Day points available, there is a great opportunity for us as a club to start the season off strongly. Let’s continue training hard and start the season with good performances. Training is every Sunday from 10am at Riverside 2 practice nets leading into the first match of the season and then we will change to Wednesday afternoon training. Scorers they are part of the team.

Our 4th Grade scorer is currently at Dubbo doing some practical teaching. But she will be back in time for the season opener. This reminds of a story about two brothers from Dubbo.
Bluey goes to an fishing show and wins a tinnie.
He brought it home and his wife looks at him and says,
"What are you gonna do with that. There’s no water deep enough to float a boat within 160 Klms of here."
He says, "I won it and I'm gonna keep it."
His brother came over to visit several days later. He sees the wife and asks where his brother is.
She says, "He's out there in his tinnie", pointing to the dry paddock behind the house.
The brother heads out behind the house and sees his brother in the middle of a paddock sitting in the tinnie with a fishing rod in his hand ...
He yells out to him, "What are you doing?"
His brother replies, "I'm fishing. What the hell does it look like I'm a doing?"

His brother yells, "It's people like you that give people from Dubbo a bad name, making everybody think we're stupid. If
I could swim, I'd come out there and kick your xxxx!"

Be safe Marissa!!!!!              GOOOOOOOO Scorers of CITY

Dan shows us how it is done

At Training on Sunday our 1st Grade Captain Dan Whale took us through some training drills one of which was to field the ball from the ground cleanly and throw the ball at a lone stump, about twenty metres away. Needless to say the stump was still standing tall after 15 minutes of cricket balls going everywhere and three of us giving up with dislocated shoulders. Dan feeling a bit frustrated by our poor attempts, said “let me have a go”

With one throw he made that bloody stump pay, with a direct hit the stump was ripped out of the ground, did two somersaults and landed there batted and bruised for me to take this photo.
GOOOOOOOO  don’t run on my arm  City

Rego Morning a huge success.

Our Registration morning was a huge success. The numbers were terrific with a number of new players signing up with City for the coming season. A lot of the players while filling out a rego form took the opportunity to pay their season fees off in full. A Big thank you must go to both Nikki and Kathy for their efforts with handling the paper work throughout the morning. Training will continue this Sunday (Father’s Day) commencing from 10am til noon at Riverside 2 cricket nets.
GOOOOOOOOOO City
