May the chapter of the story told of Saturday’s match be a inspirational one.

A Friday little story.
It is just as stressful for the Fathers to be.
Brian’s stress level was at unsurpassed levels.  His wife Maggie was in labour and Brian was sure it was time to head to the hospital.  Breathing heavily, Brian grabbed the phone and called the doctor.   “MY WIFE, SHE’S READY, SHOULD WE COME?”  The doctor tried to relax the poor fellow, “just try to relax, now tell me how much time elapses between the contractions?”  “SHIRLEY!”  Brian screamed on the top of his lungs,  “SHIRLEY! HOW MUCH TIME IN BETWEEN THE CONTRACTIONS? TEN MINUTES? OK, TEN MINUTES IN BETWEEN!”
He yelled into the phone.
With a soft calmness the doctor Questioned. “And is this her first child?”
“NO YOU STUPID NITWIT, THIS IS HER HUSBAND!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO watching our boys playing under lights, you got to love it CITY

City’s 3rd Grade side will be down on troops this weekend but will be out to cement their place in the top four of the overall competition as well as pushing for a top two in the One –Day competition.

A massive day of cricket at No1 oval with our 1st Grade team on show under lights.

Please note that the TDCA has swapped rounds 8 & 9 around and this Saturday 20 December and City United will be playing games against Souths.
In addition, the TDCA has asked 1st grade to play their game on No. 1 Oval as a day/night match commencing at 4pm.
The day will commence at No1 Oval with Doug Walters conducting coaching clinics for the juniors.  This will be followed at 1pm with a T20 ladies game.  Then our 1st grade team will take on Souths to finish a huge day of cricket at No1. There will also be a big screen for all to watch with live crosses to a game of the Big Bash.
Due to the late notice and to keep things simple, we are asking players in the lower grades to come down to No. 1 oval at the completion of their games to watch 1st grade play and enjoy some pizza and a cold drink.  Players will be asked to BYO drinks and pay a nominal fee towards the cost of the pizza.  That way we can all enjoy a quiet Christmas celebration together and wash some cricket under the lights.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it doesn’t get any better than watching our boys playing cricket under lights CITY
