The Northern
Daily Leader Sports Editor, Geoff Newling will soon bow out with redundancy after
30 years of excellent sports coverage. This will be a great loss to regional sports
journalism and especially for all who have benefited in their sporting bodies from his efforts,
often above and beyond the call of duty.
