The duck is back.
The Fourth Grade mascot from last season Duckie is back for another summer of supporting his beloved 4th Grade side. He has spent the colder months of winter up north, hanging out with a noisy mob of Magpie Geese, Duckie reported they were the most unruly flock of birds he had ever been with.
If you look closely you may be able to see him up the back.Tuesday, September 18, 2012

City v's City.
The 1st grade preseason match against Armidale City United (our sister club) was a huge success. It was hard to tell our two clubs apart with similar names and the same Gold and Maroon club colours. A big thank you must go to Steve Butler and his Armidale team for making their way down the highway. The camaraderie amongst the players was great to see.
The bowling saw Jake Philp having only 25 runs taken from his seven overs, Jack McVey 33 runs from his 6 overs, Ben Semmier 1 for 19 off his 8 overs and Dan Lawrence Man of the Match 4 for 36 off his 8 overs.
Our own Tait Jordan 2 for 9 off 5 overs and Andy Jarrett 1 for 39 off 7 overs bowled well for their Armidale cousins. For the record books Armidale got home with three overs to spare. A return match has already been pencilled in. A very big thankyou must go to Nikki, Kathy, Phil, and Paul for all their hard work throughout the day.
The new 1st grade water cooler although a little expensive looked stunning.
GOOOOOOOO they stole our colours and our name and our players CITY
After the match a good crowd turn up at the Tamworth City Bowling Club for a BBQ and a quiet cold drink before the Armidale boys travelled home.
The match proved to be a great hit out for all players involved. City batsmen amongst the runs were Scott de Weymarn with 37, Chris Langston 18, our Captain courageous Dan Whale 45 N.O., Simon Toyer 13, and Dan Lawrence 26.The bowling saw Jake Philp having only 25 runs taken from his seven overs, Jack McVey 33 runs from his 6 overs, Ben Semmier 1 for 19 off his 8 overs and Dan Lawrence Man of the Match 4 for 36 off his 8 overs.
