Results from day one against West Tamworth played Sat 20 Oct

First Grade:
City lost the toss and were sent out to field. Wests were dismissed for 167 runs in the 49th over.
Best bowling:  Julian Hulbert 5/28 off 12.4 overs; Jack McVey 2/27 off 7 overs; Jake Philp 1/39 off 12 overs; Richie O’Halloran 1/51 off 13 overs.
In reply City are 3/88 off 28 overs at stumps on day 1. Best batting:  Simon Toyer 46 runs N/O (& not playing this weekend – to be replaced by Jade Thompson); Scott de Weymarn 22 runs N/O.
Second Grade:
City  lost the toss and were sent out to field. Wests were dismissed for 204 runs in the 48th over.
Best bowling:  Pat Dwyer 5/38 off 13 overs; Chris Langston 3/25 off 10 overs; Neil Cooke 1/30 off 6 overs; Shel Ravi 1/27 off 4 overs. In reply  City are 4/64 after 29 overs at stumps on day 1.
Best batting:  Sean Hancock 30 runs; Adam Ryan 18 runs N/O.
Third Grade:
City lost the toss and were sent out to field. Wests declared their innings closed at 5/290 off 64 overs. Best bowling:  Peter Mead 2/53 off 16 overs; Josh Bennie 1/20 off 6 overs. In reply City are 1/33 in the 9th over at stumps on day 1. Best batting:  Matt Ballantine 21 runs N/O.
Fourth Grade:
City won the toss and elected to bat first. City hit 6/296 off their 80 overs. Best batting:  Anthony Fitzgerald 138 runs ret (first ton of the season for a City United player);  Gary Whale 54 runs; Cooper Thompson 37 runs N/O. City will begin play on day 2 in the field.
