Results from Rd 5 games against Norths

1st Grade
Norths were dismissed for a total of 170 in their first innings.  City resumed batting on day 2 at 0/14 and were dismissed for a total of 131 runs in the 49th over. Best batting:  Scott Hulbert 61 runs; Richie O’Halloran 21 runs; Julian Hulbert 18 runs.
Norths began a second innings and finished the day at 5/102 off 32.3 overs. Best bowling:  Aaron Dennis 2/20 off 5 overs; Jack McVey 1/17 off 8 overs; Jade Thompson 1/18 off 5 overs; Richie O’Halloran 1/3 off 3 balls.
2nd Grade
City batted first and were dismissed for a total of 162 runs in the 50th over. Norths resumed batting on day 2 at 3/109 and were dismissed for a total of 323 runs in the 65th over. Best bowling:  Paul Chalmers 2/85 off 17 overs; Neil Cooke 2/26 off 5.4 overs; Chris Langston 2/45 off 13 overs; Shel Ravi 2/44 off 9 overs; Michael Bellamy 2/9 off 3 overs.
City began batting in their second innings and finished the day at 8/139 off 36 overs. Best batting:  Paul Fisher 28 runs; Neil Cooke 23 runs; Michael Bellamy 20 runs.
3rd Grade
City declared their innings closed at 5/312 of 47 overs. In reply Norths were dismissed for a total of 44 runs in 25 overs at the end of day 1.
Norths began day 2 batting in their second innings and were dismissed for a total of 130 runs off 50 overs. Best bowling:  Lachie Cooke 7/22 off 10 overs; Glenn Ryan 1/7 off 7 overs; Graeme Schwenke 1/7 off 4 overs; Brett Walsh 1/10 off 5 overs.
City won outright.
4th Grade
City were dismissed for a total of 305 runs off 79 overs at the end of day 1. Norths began batting on day 2 and were dismissed for a total of 114 runs in the 40th over. Best bowling:  Eddie Beattie 4/10 off 4.4 overs; Terry Skewes 4/32 off 13 overs; Trent Balderston 1/20 off 6 overs; Tim Skewes 1/7 off 5 overs.
Norths began batting in their second innings and finished the day at 8/157 off 36 overs. Best bowling:  Nick Stacey 3/23 off 7 overs; Terry Skewes 2/18 off 9 overs; Eddie Beattie 2/41 off 6 overs; Trent Balderston 1/16 off 3 overs.
City fell just 2 wickets short of an outright victory but still took points for a win in the first innings.
