Results from Rd 3 matches played against Norths

1st Grade: City won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Norths declared their innings closed at 6/330 off 67 overs. Best bowling:  Simon Toyer 2/34 off 7 overs.
In reply City were dismissed for a total of 118 runs in the 39th over. Best batting:  Harrison Kelly 36 runs; Tait Jordan 20 runs.
Norths enforced the follow-on. City were dismissed in their 2nd innings for a total of 125 runs in the 50th over. Best batting:  Ryan Hansen 34 runs; Simon Toyer 20 runs.
 A great effort by Jack McVey and Dan Rogers.  They tried to withstand the Norths bowling attack by batting out the last 17 overs and falling 12 minutes short of holding off an outright defeat.

2nd Grade: City lost the toss and were sent out to bowl first.
Norths were dismissed for a total of 221 runs in the 44th over. Best bowling:  Simon Bellamy 4/77 off 12 overs; Luke Dennis 3/65 off 12 overs; Danny Malpe 2/22 off 8 overs.
In reply City were dismissed for a total of 165 runs in the 65th over. Best batting:  Peter Mead 55 runs; Mat Ballantine 33 runs.
Norths batted a second time and were 7/158 off 37 overs at the end of the match. Best bowling:   Sam Brown 5/31 off 7.1 overs.
Congratulations to Sam Brown on taking a 5 wicket haul.

3rd Grade: City won the toss and elected to bat first.
City were dismissed for a total of 115 runs in the 44th over.
Best batting:   Rod Pryor 25 runs; Josh Miles 19 runs; Graeme Schwenke 17 runs; Paul Lawrence 15 runs N/O.
In reply Norths declared their innings closed at 8/275 in the 56th over.
Best bowling:  Paul Lawrence 3/63 off 13 overs; Luke Dennis 2/18 off 7.3 overs.
City went out to bat for a second innings and were dismissed for a total of 65 runs in the 29th over. Best batting:  Trent Balderston 30 runs.

4th Grade: City lost the toss and were sent out to bat first.
City were dismissed for a total of 175 runs in the 63rd over. Best batting:  James Wallace 29 runs; Mark Chew 28 runs; Doug Truman 25 runs.
In reply Norths were dismissed for a total of 183 runs in the 62nd over. Best bowling:   Neil Cooke 3/22 off 8 overs; Lachlan Cooke 2/45 off 13 overs; Joey Mead 2/15 off 8 overs. City's young juniors are performing so well.
