The young and the old of it

Our terrific 3rd Grade side won the toss and elected to bowl first, in their two-day match against West on Saturday.
Lachlie Cooke scored a beautiful 86 runs.
In a wonderful bowling and fielding display, Wests were dismissed for a total of 88 runs in the 28th over.
Best of the bowlers were Danny Malpe 3/24 off his 7 overs. Scott Hurn was not far from the action taking two catches, one of which was a amazing full length forward dive to complete a caught and bowl. Scotty ended up taking 2/32 off 9 overs. The captain of the side Trent Balderston then joined the action taking 4/3 off his 2.2 overs.
Then it was City's turn to bat and we ended the day in a strong position being 4 for 228 off 57 overs.
Best of the batsmen were Lachlie Cooke 86 runs and Tom Fitzgerald 74 runs N/O.

Could Tom be the first City player to score a century?

Neil Cooke being 73 runs N/O ( could Neil beat Tommy as City first Century maker);
 While over at our Forth Grade side, City won the toss and elected to bat first.
After their first allotted 40 overs City ended with 5 for 128 runs.
With Neil Cooke being 73 runs N/O, Mark Chew our Fourth Grade wicketkeeper batsman made 22 runs.
In reply Wests are  4/110 off their 40 overs.
All bowlers bowled nice and tight with Neil Cooke taking 1/15 off 8 overs, Russell Pitt has 1/21 off 8 overs,  Noah Pitt is looking for more wickets but has 1/18 off 4 overs at this stage and City's war horse Ron Benjamin has 1/21 from his 4 overs.

Our quiet spoken secretary of City United Nikki. Told me after hearing of the results from the weekend.
“3rds already have 1st innings points and 4th Grade look to have it in the bag. Go City!!!”

GOOOOOOOOOO  Nikki has said it all CITY
