A Friday story.

After I waited patiently all afternoon while my husband played a game of cricket for his beloved City United on our 30th wedding anniversary, he and I went out to dinner at a lovely restaurant. He was thrilled with his batting and that he was able to score a very patient 30 runs.
I eventually was able to have him discuss the many happy memories we’ve shared during our 30 years of marriage. Then I said “Want to go for another 30?”
“God no” he replied  as he looked out the window “I think it’s far too dark now.”
