Just thought I would let you know how proud we are of Ryan following his great performance for the Tamworth Under 13 representative team in the Ballina Under 13s carnival this week.
Ryan opened the batting with James Psarakis and only bowled 5 overs during the course of the 5 games played - 0 for 6 off 1 over; and 0 for 14 off 4 overs.
Game 1 against Hornsby (who went on to win the carnival) - Ryan only made 1 run. Game 2 against South East Queensland Ryan made 26 not out. Game 3 against Newcastle Ryan made 49 not out. Game 4 against Ballina Ryan made 26. Game 5 against Mid North Coast Ryan retired on 40 not out. An average of 71 runs. Not bad. He actually outscored James which was a pretty good effort.
The Tamworth team finished the carnival in 9th place (from 16 teams). Coach, Terry Psarakis was more than happy with the team's results given that we are the only town team playing against regional teams.
