Also on Sunday at Riverside No 1 saw a number of City players playing in the MA Connolly Cup semi-final, against Glen Innes. It must be noted that Richie O'Halloran was the captain for the Tamworth side with opposing Captain for the Glen Innes side being Adrian Sippel a City United boy who also captained City First Grade side for a number of seasons before moving to Glen Innes. Simon Toyer and Jack McVey were the other City players representing Tamworth in the match. Tamworth won the match after Jack struck with two late wickets in as many balls to secure the win for Tamworth.
