The 1st Grade award winners from the 2013/14 season are:
Batting Average and Aggregate - Simon Toyer 333 runs @ 25.62
Bowling Average and Aggregate - Daniel Lawrence 18 wickets @ 7.89
Captains Award went to Simon Toyer

Peter Mead summed up the season in two matches where City played and beat both of the Grand Finalist in Old Boys and Souths.  I was pleasantly surprised and it was fantastic. We can take alot of confidence from these two matches. We invested so much energy and will power, this team played some very high standard of cricket in these two matches to win against two quality teams.
Peter also made special mention of Jack McVey with his work ethic both on and off the paddock. Jack is an outstanding bowler. Michael Bellamy innings against Souths was also mentioned where Michael was so aggressive at the square both in his defensive and attacking shots.

City United's pass and future players were all there.

City United's Life Member Frank Gooley was a special guest at our Presentation Night. Frank was presented with a framed photo of himself in his playing days. Frank is the best opening batsmen I have ever played with or against. His playing time with City extended from 1975 through to 1998 in his final match Frank went out in style, with another hundred next to his name.

Frank might have represented passed players but our future City stars were there in force as well. This group of young men all played their first season of Grade Cricket with City this season. They loved it and matured as cricketers as the season progressed.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO we have a rich history at City
